Electrical Steel for Axial Flux Motors

Thin gauge, low loss, and selected for the frequency your motor actually runs at.

Axial flux motors generally benefit from thinner laminations: at higher electrical frequencies, thinner steel reduces eddy current loss and therefore core loss. Because our stator core business sits on top of an established electrical steel supply chain, material grade and thickness are decided together with the lamination design, not afterwards.
