Weight deviations are also specified to ensure consistent product quality. Additionally, strict requirements are set for the mechanical properties of rebar, including yield strength, tensile strength, elongation after fracture, and maximum total elongation, among others. Different grades of rebar, such as HRB400 and HRB500, correspond to different standard values for mechanical properties. The selection of the appropriate grade of rebar depends on the specific design requirements of the construction project, ensuring structural safety and reliability.

  • Wire Rod

Wire rod, also known as coil rod, refers to round steel with a smaller diameter and is generally supplied in coils. A common standard for wire rod is GB/T 701-2008 "Carbon Structural Steels," which specifies the dimensions, appearance, weight, and allowable deviations for low-carbon steel hot-rolled wire rod. In terms of performance, wire rod must meet mechanical properties such as tensile strength and elongation after fracture. There are also strict requirements for its chemical composition, ensuring the stability of quality and processability in construction applications.

  • Medium and Thick Plates

Medium and thick plates refer to steel plates with thicknesses ranging from 4.5mm to 200mm. In the construction industry, medium and thick plates are mainly used to manufacture large structural components and building equipment. For instance, in high-rise steel structure buildings, medium and thick plates are used for constructing crucial structural elements such as beams and columns. In terms of performance standards, different steel grades and applications have corresponding requirements for the mechanical properties, process performance, and chemical composition of medium and thick plates. For example, Q345 series medium and thick plates used in building structures must meet specific indicators for yield strength, tensile strength, impact toughness, as well as strict limits on the content of carbon, manganese, silicon, and other chemical elements. These measures ensure the safety and reliability of medium and thick plates in construction applications.
